The UCB is known for cutting edge comedy, but sometimes even our edgiest performers like to take a break from the 3 D’s (dick jokes, deconstructionism, and disheveled casual wear.) The Classy Show calls back to a time and place where comedy was clean and decent, the fourth wall was treated with the utmost respect and no performer would ever dare enter the stage in jeans unless he or she were playing a farmer! That’s why we at the UCB are putting together a show full of sketches so classy, you could take it home to mom. And just to up the stakes a bit, we’ve made the show a friendly competition, where you the audience pick the classiest act in all of Los Angeles!
So get dressed up in your fancy frocks and tiptop threads for the poshest comedy show around. This highly civilized occasion will surely be the event of the year (or at least the month,) so don’t miss it! Come not just to see a great show, but to be seen at a great show!
